Biography Marthalicia Matarrita Born and raised in Harlem, New York City. Marthalicia has many art disciplines such as drawing, sculpting, painting and creating large murals and is always expanding in new mediums. Current area of art dialogue is based on educating the harmony between animals and humans, in many unique presentations. Marthalicia early stages: Sharng "black books" graffitti art journals as well as comic books were her past time. Encouraged by faith to persue the art form, Marthalicia entered La Guardia High School of Performance and the Arts, and upon graduating high school, she enlisted in the Army National Guard. She enrolled in S.U.N.Y. New Paltz for B.F.A. in Fine Arts. Her art resume further in her new art journey "Live Art Performance" Today, Marthalicia has broaden her art experiences to many difference avenues in art venues, and oppourtunites where she builds with her community and others.

Recap: Of the BOWERY POETRY CLUB

Tuesday, hot and rainy June 30th, 2009

One night at the monthly BONDFIRE that is showcased at the Bowery Poetry Club in Lower Manhattan, a show was held. Such an amazing how, I must say: this night and performance held many gifted and super talented woman, those included were; Trezure the Empress, Charloette Mishell, Keren Cardosn, Hosted by Tasty Kesish, DJ Rikrok, and photos by Elizabeth Allen, myself and Demostina were the Live art performers. I also met so many cool NEW friends such as: Ana Pichardo who was also taking some real amazing photos.

There will be more pics coming soon, but I wanted to share how cool the event was. I had some real cool friends that showed up, big shout out to BEN ROJAS (*Borish), that sneaked in and left, thought you weren't gonna be mentioned, but what can I say, I did it. Big warm thank you so Phil, Anthony and Minx for being so cool and real down to earth, by showing your faces at the show. Especially to Phil and Anthony who DETEST RATS, while we all walked home after the show! BIG LOVE BROS!
