BONDFIRE: Tuesday November 30, 2010 ( carty event to raise money for COOLIE HIGH ) Auctioning my art

There are many people out there that have done through the most toughest times in their lives. Some people suffer dramatically and have an ongoing trauma about these situations. The reason why I'm bringing this up, s because a dear friend, fellow talented MC by the name of Coolie High, has saw his home catch on fire and burn down. Now he has no where else to go, and has lost everything

The Bonfire Family, that hosts monthly events at the Bowery Poetry Club, has created a venue where they will raise money to help Coolie High.

If your around, and want to help him, I suggest to swing my, as I also Paint Live, with fellow friend John Smalls, and have our pieces that we do LIVE to whom ever purchase these tickets at the main entrance. We all win, we all help out.

Art Episode:: Presents::: Michael Haff at Crash Mansion

I met Michael Haff that very same night that I documented him. Great guy, a mutual friend by Michael Amorillo. His site :   http://michaelamorillo.com/category/blog/  who know of him introduced me a while back. We corresponded a few times here and there, and by the time this great event was arriving, I needed to film an artist ( since I booked another great soul, dynamic art friend by the name of CONSCIOUS; he's a host of a monthly event thats called the BONDFIRE at the Bowery Poetry Club with Tasty Keish)

Another goodie was that another friend that made this event all possible, goes by E.M. Theories, or Alfonse. For nearly 1 year and a half, we been trying to incorporate LIVE art into his dynamic musical combination of music and the many different art forms, and because of him I am totally grateful for also letting me plug in other artist into this great festive event.

The Antagonist Art Movement: Doll

I am very honored and fortunate to have had the chance to participate with the Antagonist Art movement in the past couple of years. This time around, Their movement had a few hand made dolls that were created by one founder of the movement by the name of Ethan Minsker. This dude is way cool, and is well rounded and know way too much about the art movement in New York City. He even offers the chance for other artist to show and present their art work in Lower Manhattan at a place called Niagara Bar and Lounge, located at: 112 Avenue A [at 7th Street] New York City. number: 212-420-9517 http://www.niagarabar.com/

The following information is from The Antagonist Art Movement BLOG post:
What are the Dolls Of Lisbon?

It’s the next overseas art show in Portugal.

The plan: 10 to 20 artists, musicians, and filmmakers travel to Lisbon

for 10 days of creative events. Ted can give you more on the artist’s

statement. For my part I’m working on the film that documents the

event. I’ve already been shooting for 8 months.

The Dolls

I’m making 100 dolls for artists to paint change and make their own.

We will then show them in Lisbon. It takes me about 9 hours to do one.

I start with a wire frame then take strips of cut up t-shirts and

build up the body, and then I cover it tightly with canvas. It’s hard

so the artists can paint it. I’ve made 64 dolls. 16 went to Lisbon, 6

Berlin, 2 Baltimore, 1 Roma, and the rest in and around NYC.
How do you get to work on a doll?
You have to show with us on a Thursday art show. If we like your work we will ask you to do a doll.

We were hoping to go in October or November of '09 but it looks more

like May of 2010.

What is the hold up?

We are waiting for written conformation from the gallery and city.

Bring on the bitching. Artists and other Antagonist keep harassing me about the date. I get it, you want to know so you can take off time from work and get a deal on a ticket. Well I could make up a date, but that won’t help you. When I know the dates you will know the dates.

Stop asking me.

You can see a selection of dolls at the Antagonist show on October 17th to November 12th at the Mindy Wyatt Gallery, 814 Broadway, 2nd floor, NYC.
If you are one of our artists who is working on a doll post a photo here.

ART EPISODES:::: PRESENTS :::: T T K at Best Buy

I saw TTK's art work at a sneaker shop ( SOLE FOOD NYC ), off of Canal street a few years back. I have admire his creativity and his style, as I saw rows of dynamic art pieces and language over his subject matter... and hearing word of mouth how cool of a guy he was, sinked in my mind.

A year ago, fall season, I met him in person at GALLERY BAR, where we both were painting live. We befriended prior to the event via all the possible networks, and really got into the art conversations.

Meeting him there and seeing his methods, and getting to know mines, as well as those of my brothers ( they so happened to be there with me to paint a collaborative piece), gave him a better perspective of what I can do. It was mega cool to really connect.

I felt it was necessary to really explore a bit TTK's world in a such a short time I have with him, sincee he travels quite a bit, and really explore his art craft and ideas with other.. I am here to present to you a GLIMPSE of his world, and I hope you enjoy his art as I do.
