TIGERS.... with Danielle And Broke MC and Friends! Brookyn

Yes yes, despite that I got lost in Brooklyn in the middle of the night in the boondocks of a desolate factory and dark factory and truck facility, I was able to be redirected to the actual location of the Art Show and Live band Music!

I finally got the the place, Broke Mc embraced me and lead me to the back where all the Art Action was being held!

Danielle Mastrion, as awesome as she always been, up in a ladder creating a dope piece of a child, and other their other wall, See One was make another master piece. They already started, and I was sooo nervous and scared of not finishing my piece on time, or at least when the venue ended at 2 am.

Here is a few photos of the Colabo with Danielle and after hours ranting on the Subway! I truly appreciate all my art friends!

THEN.... we all packed and walked to the train, as we all laughed and talked about life ... I couldn't be much happier ! Mike McManus also a fellow artist, showed LOVE and support and we too traveled back to Harlem together! I need more Art nights with friends like these!

I had to much fun that night, despite that I arrived late and had no ID,  was able to get n with some art friends. Spaze Craft a dear friend from LaGuardia High School, invited me to participate in a collaborative art piece, large enough to be called a mural. I met our team , The Soh Nup Ink Collective, where there were already treated the canvas and had show so much freedom n the colors and forms!

I am an artist, but what I enjoy the most is seeing other artist really getting in their own element, makes it even better to see others like me truly happy ! As if speaking an unspoken language of contentment!

below are but a few photos taken by one of the team members. I didn't get to catch his name, but I sure you, he is well appreciated in my book!

MIOPUMA + LAURIE Colabo......I Modeled a few things

I ... love .... collaborations, one in which we help one another, and in this round, it was Laurie and miopuma creative birthing that made this possible

MioPuma ( also known as Miozotis Pumarol (Miozotis Marie Pumarol Moloon) )   is a Dominican Artist, who have learned about art through DR academics and here in our Concrete Homeland we call NEW YORK CITY. Met her and was amazed by her constant creativity and fashion knowledge, one in which I defiantly need to take a crash course in her class, if she ever has one !

The Self taught ways seems more intriguing to me then those learned by the school, Laurie proves to many how the gifted can always succeed further if one does apply themselves!

RAW 5: GROUP ART SHOW w/ My close ART FRIENDS !

Placing it out there, Yes I had some difficulties this year with relationship, with family where it has affected me deeply.

As a result for my on-going recovery I leaned on to Art to rescue me. Art, for me have always been a vehicle for me to express feelings that I normally wouldn't utter in public.

This time around, Lexi Bella called and asked if I was interested in dong an all female art show. I was like "Heck yea !", and the process to vent through my art was made possible!

Lexi Bella, Danielle Mastrion, Laurie Marckiewicz, and Mirandom were apart of this show, and I was so lucky to have them as close friends!

The Cardboard obsession continued as previous blogs, adn this time I wanted to start a new method of shaping these ideas into Living beings, in the manner in which  know best, Drawing....

Below are the process of my ideas made into forms. The titles are :  1.) LOYALTY, 2) Bruning Bridges, and 3) Coming out of my Shell

I had a great opportunity to work with William Acevedo from the Y.U.C.A. organization during the summer! I was able to contribute and work with enthusiastic young folks and the community in the mission to celebrate a community leader Joe Perez , who passed away recently and has influenced his neighborshood, the Bronx.

below are photos of the process made by William Acevedo and his team. I had the oppourtunity to work on his portraite, and honored to have been apart of it!

Large painting Dedication to the Dynamic Rockers at 5 Pointz

A phone call that lead into a conversation about a possible painting, let me so excited and also so nervous!

Marie Cecile Flageul who works with Meres at 5 Pointz, gave me such  phone call on a Thursday afternoon asking for a surprise painting for the father and son a bboy group called The Dynamic Rockers.

I was in a state of panic since  didn't have the budget to get the work completed on time. Thursday turned into Friday. At this point I began to doubt the potential of me eve making the art piece. No materials no money. I don't like asking people for help, and which let me to be a bit anxious.

I then remembered that in the Bronx where I have a mini space to paint, I had safely storage a few art supplies, so I took a trip up there, and wa-la, everything I needed was there. I was so thrilled, I didn't know what to do with myself, I saw a stack of stretcher bars 4 feet X 5 Feet, and raw canvas.  was soooo darn lucky !!!!

Hope you like the art process

CARDBOARD MADDNESS ... and its reasons ...

Since the Puerto Rican day parade and Cardboards, I been obsess with markers and sketching, in an absurd way. Frequent art shows, and all  carry have been cardboard. Now not many people would buy them so  have been drawing and giving them out. On July 20th, up in Washington Heights I will be drawing on card boards and given them out to whom ever wants them. The event starts from 4pm, and ends at 10pm. Its a dance program with live art, host by Maury Matos from the 55 Crew that he represents.

    Location: Negro Claro
